Sky calling - is it scam?
I had a 'phone call today on my mobile from 0800 761 3372, which my phone marked as possible scam so I didn't answer it. I searched Google for the phone number and it seemed to be mainly negative comments about people asking for bank numbers etc. I then realised that I had missed a similar call the day before.
My question is: Is this a genuine Sky number and is is Sky trying to get me to change my package?
Many thanks for reading!

@Ayton1500 As numbers can be spoofed by Scammers it is going to e impossible to tell you if it was Sky or not.
We have no knowledge if Sky do try and call you as we are all customers here.

From Skys own website
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/received-call-from-08007613372
Of course any number can be spoofed.
With any calls from 'Sky' (especially unexpected calls) if the caller asks for your previously agreed telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which I would expect a genuine Sky agent to do) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it will be a scam call.

Re: Sky calling - is it scam?
@Ayton1500 if you can tell us what the caller was offering, we might be able to say whether it's likely to be a scam or not?

If you didn't answer either call, what makes you think it was anything to do with Sky at all?

As the post above says that is genuine number that Sky use for outgoing calls calls. If you ring that number back you will get a message starting " You were called by Sky" and informing you that they may try gain if necessary. Probably the call it curserty call, but yes that it probably a sale call. To be safe they will ask you your tell them your telephone password if so give the them a wrong one first, if they challenge it which I think they will from that number you know they are genuine.

Re: Sky calling - is it scam?
I always check numbers using so called me website:
https://who-called.co.uk/Number/08007613372 although it says the number is owned by sky the large number of negative reviews suggest the people believe it's a scammer.
I don’t work for Sky.
If I have helped then please leave a like.

I believe this is a genuine outgoing numbed from Sky but if you are called on it and are unsure it a legitimate Sky number give Sky a ring on a known Sky number and quote that number to the agent and they should be able to confirm that it genuine.
