Potential Scam?
Hi all,
I have been receiving letters saying that I am in arrears to Sky Mobile. Each letter looks quite suspisous and the amounts I'm alledgely in arrears for seem to fluctuate with each letter. It's quite confusing. Recently, these letters have become more urgent and I want to make sure I'm not accidentally signed up for something I'm not aware of.
As far as I am aware, I do not have a Sky Mobile Account, so I don't know what these charges could be for. It does not come up on my account online.
I have contacted the help chats several times, but they have been unable to help me because my account is a guest acccount, and therefore it's locked and they can't access it to see if the charges are real.
Just wondering if anyone else has a similar expereince or any idea who to contact for help with this.

Re: Potential Scam?
Have you had any suspicious emails inviting you to sign a credit agreement or any calls or emails that state they are from Sky ?

Re: Potential Scam?
Hi both,
I do have an account with Sky, but not for Sky Mobile, and I am the account holder.
The address the letters were sent to is not my main address that is registered to Sky. Which is why I feel certain it is a scam, but I am worried someone else has signe dup with my name and I don't know how to address it.

Ok if you are actually a sky account holder why not give sky a ring to get though the automated system just answer it questions but ignore what it says m it. It might want to send a link but ignore that too It will then ask "if that all" say "no", it will the then probably ask if you the account holder which you say "yes" and the it might ask you your telephone password. Don't worry if you don't know that password it Will pass you though to human customer adviser who will probably ask you some questions to clarify who you are. Once done explain what has happened about the mobile and tell them that the letter have not been sent to the address on your account and you want to know if they are genuine or a scam. They might ask you to confirm your actual address on your account But telling themthe address on the letters should be able to confirm the situation.
