Remove Early Termination Charges

Just received an email telling me that Sky have added an early termination charge to my account.

I'd switched after the price increase notification, which said I wouldn't receive any early termination charge for doing so within 30 days of receipt of the notification (I was well within this 30 day timeframe). There were no mention of termination charges in any communication from Sky regarding the termination either, per Ofcom guidelines

How do I go about getting these charges removed?

@serthytdjf  Presumably this is in relation to broadband not tv,

if yes then you need to raise a formal complaint

@serthytdjf

In that case you could call Sky and challenge this or raise a complaint. This link outlines the complaints process

Re: Remove Early Termination Charges

Still no response from Sky after their initial "Acknowledgement" of my complaint

Seen loads of other posts of folk getting falsely charged for things. Are Sky hard-up for cash? Is that why they're doing shakedowns now? 😂

Judging from previous posts, it's a bit soon. You might need to give Sky another week or so.

Sky have 6 weeks I believe to respond to your complaint so as @Mark39 has said you will need to give it longer for them to respond,

Well, I think it's safe to say that Comcast aren't entirely happy with their purchase...

Re: Remove Early Termination Charges

Went through the complaints process and was told that the charge had been removed. Bank notifies me of upcoming direct debits and the charge was still there so I guess the complaints agent just lied about removing it? Baffling

Have you checked to see if there is not any credit on the account regarding this ?

Re: Remove Early Termination Charges

Aye, next 3 months' bills are all showing as the regular amount, no notice of credit on any of them
