@Anonymous
Refunds can take up to 6 weeks from your last day of connection providing the payment method is still active on your Sky account. This will be longer if the payment method has been cancelled as Sky will have to manually raise a cheque and post it to you.

If you’d rather, we can help get it refunded within 3-5 working days via the Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if that’s what you want to do but we need confirmation it’s currently showing as a credit on your Sky account.

Re: Refund

Hi,

I cancelled our subscription 26 July and they said that I will get some refund, for the rest of the month.

However, 1 August they collected they Bb&talk payment again. Dont understand why?

@FatB billing continues as normal right up to termination date and any bills must be paid as normal with a corresponding credit for days beyond termination date applied to your account on what would have been your next payment date

once applied it'll be refunded within six weeks or if you prefer we can ask the community messaging team to contact you directly here or you can call sky directly and they will process it both options take 3-5 working days

Was the 26th July the day you left Sky, if so then the bill that was taken out on 1st August would have been created when you were still a customer as this happens 14 days previously.

Now you have left do you see a credit on your account ?

Re: Refund

@Sky we called them during the first week of July to cancelled the subscription, also 26 July we returned all their stuff.
We wondered  when they got another regular paument, because he said everything is cancelled and you will get some refund for the rest of the July.

Re: Refund

@caesarome we called them during the first week of July to cancell on 26 July, same day we returned their stuff. Now the credit is showing £0, but the plan shows to get the regular payment every coming month.

If the credit is now showing as £0 then it could well have been refunded to you so if it hasn't hit your account yet then it might do by at the very latest this time next week.

I'm guessing that was for broadband (which has 14 days notice) as for TV services you have to give 31 days cancellation notice so giving notice the first week of July would take your service to early August.

Did you receive email confirmation of the cancellation?

Re: Refund

@MarkGoldsmith This is a problem, because the broadband got this payment again, even noticed in early July. As for the TV, we are aware to pay few £ for 'late notice'.

The early termination fee is if you try and cancel early (so the 31 day notice ends within your minimum term and even that Sky have to agree to it) it's not a fee applied to try and get around and shorten the 31 day period.

Billing continues as normal during the notice period, bills are generated 2 weeks before payment is due so you will always overpay Sky and then see the credit appear in your account on the next bill generated date after your services has been terminated. As your notice period would take you to early August the billing would continue as is and I would expect the credit to show in the next bill generated after the service termination date.
