This is false information. They must comply under uk consumer law to transfer the compensation into your bank upon request.

That's incorrect, for example if the compensation is related to your broadband service the voluntary OFCOM scheme which Sky and other ISPs sign up to states that the compensation at a minimum has to be provided as credit against your account, and that whilst you can ask the ISP to refund directly to your bank account they don't necessarily have to agree and that this conversation needs to happen prior to the compensation being paid.
@Angieeeeee which part of uk consumer law is stating that compensation needs to be directly to a bank account, as your claim is implying that OFCOM's own voluntery compensation scheme breaches UK law?
