Paying for sky stream while fibre install is delayed
I signed up for a Sky Stream + Fibre bundle with the original start date in October and they would buy me out of my EE contract that is due to end in mid-December. However, Sky contacted me to say the works to install the fibre cable to my house is now delayed until early-December.
A few days ago, I got a bill from Sky for about half the bundle amount and it turns out this if for the Sky Stream component, including Netflix and Disney+.
The issue is, I already get Netflix and Disney+ through my EE package that can only be cancelled once fibre internet is installed. So I'm paying twice for these services,.
How can I make sure I don't start paying for any component of the bundle until my fibre connection is installed? (and get a refund on this month's Sky Stream because I'm not going to use it until I get their fibre internet)

Activation and billing is automatic (3 weeks I think). Your only option would be to cancel in the cooling off period and reorder later.
You can use stream on any broadband.

Re: Paying for sky stream while fibre install is delayed
The issue is not using Sky stream on EE broadband.
It's that Sky delayed my fibre install meaning I must stay on EE until December, with EE I already get Netflix and Disney+.
Sky have now started billing me for just Sky Stream, where I also get Netflix and Disney+. Therefore I am paying twice for Netflix and Disney+ through two different providers.
This would not have happened if Sky didn't delay the fibre install, therefore I don't want to pay for Sky Stream until I am in a position to recieve the whole bundle and can cancel EE.

@ChrisFro Then your only option is to cancel stream within your cooling off period and re order at a more appropriate time

Disney+ bottom tier is free with Sky packages so it's just Netflix that appears on my Sky Q package as 'Ultimate TV Pack' at £5.50 per month. I don't know how it appears on Stream or whether it's just rolled into the base price. You could always contact them and try for a credit until the FTTP is installed.
BTW, Sky wouldn't have delayed it so much as either OR or Cityfibre have pushed it back.

Hi @ChrisFro It is Openreach that have delayed the FTTP install. Sky have no control over Openreach. However, whatever you do, don't cancel your EE broadband as Sky will do this to coordinate the changeover to keep your downtime to a minimum. The TV element is a different matter.

Re: Paying for sky stream while fibre install is delayed
Thanks @MightyQuinn, I appreciate this is an Openreach issue as it was their engineer who visited my house for a pre-installation assessment and will carry out the works.
I just don't want to pay for any component of the bundle until the whole bundle can be provided, and I would have been happy to delay Sky Stream activation to coincide with the fibre activation - but I wasn't given the choice!
If I had known Openreach couldn't install fibre until December, I wouldn't have selected the Sky bundle to start in October.

@ChrisFro you don't get the choice because sky automatically assumes anyone ordering stream already has a working broadband connection (which you have in your ee connection) so there is nothing stopping you from using the stream service on your ee connection other than the fact you don't want to pay
there is more to stream than just Netflix and Disney
