Overpayment on bill

So Sky kindly decided to remove my bank details for the my Sky stream, but not my broadband and failed to contact me to inform me of any of this. Logged onto my account at the begining of last week and seen the error. So paid last month's bill. So why today have Sky chosen to take two months worth instead of one? Yes my account is now in credit but that's not what I wanted! 40 quid lost for a month! And the chat feature on here is useless. Might as well talk to a plank of wood. Is there a way to get the funds back as opposed to credit?

To get you some help with the refund I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.

This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears by typing it it to start the chat:

When the chat bubble does appear you will need to respond to it as soon as you can or it will be closed if there is no response within 48 hours. To start the conversation just type in it.
This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Do you pay by a direct debit because of you do and the first attempt at taking the funds fails Sky will always try a second time 10 days later so is this what has happened here ?

The credit can be refunded and help can be arranged via here for you if you would like ?

Re: Overpayment on bill

Hi no that's not what has happened here. For some reason they removed my details so DD could not be taken. As I wasn't aware the bill wasn't paid as die on the first of August. As I didn't receive any communication I was unaware of this until I went to use the service last week and couldn't. It was then I had seen the details needed updating, which I did as well as make the payment from the overdue bill. Yet I've been billed for it again today. If there is a way to get the funds back I'd really appreciate the help. Thank you for your response
