Re: Over charged
You've correctly made a complaint which Sky have up to 8 weeks to resolve. No need for multiple complaints.
Cancelling the direct debit is definitely not recommended. Doing that is going to cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you wont be able to cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky could involve a debt recovery company which may affect your credit rating.

How did you log the complaint(s)?

Re: Over charged
AIUI bills cannot be 'amended'.
When a bill is issued (and the amount may well be correct depending on the timing) it has to be paid.
Any adjustments will be made to future bills - which may even produce a credit which would mean no payments could be suspended whilst this credit is absorbed on a monthly basis.
As long as future bills are showing the expected amount then the simplest resolution would be to pay. Agents suggesting cancelling payments doesn't end well.

I suspect that will have zero effect. Restrictions are automated. They can't be prevented by agents even if they say they can.

Well that may be poor advice as restrictions etc. are automated. Notes won't stop it.
