The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. (If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term).

Broadband/Talk

If you cancel before your contract ends (minimum term), you might have to pay an early termination charge (Sky will notify you if you do and the amount).

Prices can increase for a number of reasons…
changing your subscription,
the annual price increase (April in the UK),
your discounts have ended,
or a combination of those.

Sky will have told you the date any discount was ending when you took it out so if it has ended you’ll be paying the full undiscounted price.

Re: Changing suppliers

Regarding a broadband contract, I thought you had the legal right to cancel within so many days of being notified of any price increase within your contract period ?

Yes, but discounts expiring are not a price increase.  But this will be 'out of contract' anyway so you can leave.
