New contract advice needed

Hello, looking for some advice on what to do here as unsure.
I have been with Sky broadband and tv for 5 years and pay the bill in my name. Currently living at home with parents. Parents are moving to a new house and will want to set up a contract under their own name to get the cheaper cost. Will this be possible though if it will ask what address they are moving from, wouldn't that already show there is a Sky contract linked to that address so they can't start a new one? Even though it would be in their name, not mine.
Not sure how this works and whether they would have to find an alternative provider.
Any help appreciated.

@LAS1987  When your parents move one of them needs to sign up as a new customer giving the new address only that way they will get new customer rates

the only way the old address will be linked is they did a home move when would transfer your account to the new address

so in short it's either they sign up as new customer or you transfer your account to the new address but you can't do both

@LAS1987

Are you moving too? If you are you'll need to cancel your services…

To cancel all your TV subscription, if you’re out of contract you’ll need to give Sky the required 31 days notice. The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term.

If you are cancelling Sky Q, return packaging will be sent out near the end of your notice period. It’s important that you obtain proof of posting and keep it safe and indefinitely.

If you are cancelling Broadband/Talk altogether you need to contact Sky and give the required notice of 14 days. Remember that if you are still in a discounted 18/24 months deal Sky could impose cancellation charges.

Return packaging for any equipment Sky expect back will be sent out to you near the end of any notice period. Remember to keep any proof of posting indefinitely.

Re: New contract advice needed

Yes I am moving too, we have a provisional date of next Friday, my contract doesn't end until August. So I have accepted I will have to pay some early termination fees. I don't want to transfer still under my name as I am now paying £100 a month, and my parents want to pay from fresh at the new house at the lower costs. I will also not be living there long which is why they want to take it over and have control over it.
