Hi
My elderly father, and his wife, have Sky for TV and Talk. The account is in his wife's name. She has had a stroke, is in a nursing home, and has been accessed as not having capacity. Could anyone please advise how we remove her from the account, and put it in my Dad's name?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt's not that simple. Your father may need to speak to Sky about having his wife's subscription cancelled in view of her health issues. Then he can take out a new subscription in his name. He needs to see what Sky say about the process if she can't cancel herself due to her capacity. It would help if he has an LPA.

Hi
Thanks for the reply. She doesn't have an LPA. She has only be deemed as not having capacity, in regards to her care. So the best way forward is to ring Sky? My only worry is that they won't discuss anything with my Dad, as he is not the account holder. Neither of them know the password on the account.
