@MascanDesign

Your thread title stated Sky called you! Are you sure it was Sky and not scammers trying to gain information in order to order expensive devices in your name?

Regarding new customer deals, better discounts are offered to new customers as an incentive for them to join. Most providers now do this. You'll have probably benefited from such offers in the past.

If you choose to leave and go with another provider then in 18/24 months you'll be in the same position with that provider and if you want you'll be able to return to Sky as a new customer and gain the benefits available at that time.

That's correct.

As noted above, unsolicited calls about discounts are typically the start of a scam.

@MascanDesign It might not have been, its very easy to spoof a number and thats exactly what scammers do. As far as im aware Sky have never made unsolicited calls to offer discounts.

Hi @MascanDesign   The number was spoofed. Professional criminals know what they are doing.

Re: I was phoned by Sky while in South Africa on holiday??

A  £19 deal for new customers is very basic package usury just some entainment Channels and Netflix with adds if you want to add things like cinema Sky sports TNT sports multiroom  and HD the cost is very much higher. I  have been with Sky for a good number of years and  have the full package, all that mention above on two year contact which included some discounts. I pay £157 per month which yes is a lot of money. The other day I compared what new customers would pay for the same and though the advertised price for Sky Q for new customers looked quite low I think is was about £27.per month this' was only for basic entainment ant Netflix with ads, when you go though the various screens to add on all the extras that I have  mention above the price for a new customers£120 per month, not much more than what I pay as a very old existing customer..
