I want to transfer my account to the new tennants
Hi,
I recently rented out my home to new tennants, and agreed to leave my Sky package (TV, internet and phone) - the tennants were happy to pay the monthly cost, so all good.
Now, as Sky has jumped up the prices, the new tennants are looking ways to reduce the cost. As the contract is up for renewal, Sky has agreed to reduce it a bit - but nowhwere near to a new like-for like deal.
So, the tennants have asked me to cancel the current contract with Sky and they will apply as new customers, and if that does not work, to a new supplier - so my questions:
-Can they get a new deal with Sky, but keep their current phone number?
-Can they get a new package, and use the exisiting (or a new) sky Dish (internet still not 100% reliable there, so they are not keen on Streaming only option) - all the deals on Sky are for Glass/streaming only, could not see a dish option
Thanks in advance.

They may be able to agree a new customer deal, but to do that, you'll have to cancel which means your phone number will be lost. There will be a 2 week wait, approximately, before the phone is reinstated after you've cancelled.

Yes, as long as the existing dish is serviceable it will be used
Thanks in advance.

They can get a new deal with Sky as they would be new customers, not sure on the phone number issue so they would be best talking to Sky about this.
Sky does still sell Sky Q but they would need to phone to sign up to it if they can't sign up here - https://www.sky.com/tv/sky-q

...also bear in mind new Sky contracts are now 24 months - just to consider in relation to the length of their tenancy.

Re: I want to transfer my account to the new tennants
As a general principle I'd observe the original arrangement was perhaps somewhat unwise: with your name on the contracts you are potentially liable both for any additional spending on television (rental and PPV) and in the event that internet misuse was alleged. It's also a breach of Sky T&C's to permit use like that, so resolving the situation as advised above would be preferable.
