Help

I'd like to add my partner to my sky account. I do not want my sky account to be ONLY in my name, I'd like my partners name on there too, as we live together and pay the bill out of both our wages. I am struggling to do this on the app, as when I click add new family members too account, it asks me to sign in and then sends me to a random sky glass link. How can I add my partner so he can have access to this account and manage payments and statements. Thanks

Sky don't allow joint names on accounts. (As long as he knows the telephone password he can contact Sky about the account etc but won't be able to cancel any aspect of it).

Re: Help

So why is there an option called adding friends or family to my sky account?

As stated, you can add adults to allow them to speak to Sky on your behalf but they aren't named on the account as such. The account remains solely in your name.

You can delegate permission to members of your family and friends to make use of some of your services, but your Sky account can only be in your sole name.

Re: Help

Okay so instead, is there a way to transfer the account into his name instead? I just need his name on the bills as we're needing everything halved as equity as possible with our current situation

I'm afraid there is no way to transfer account details either. As the only way to do this would be to you to cancel and your partner to then sign up as a new customer, doing so will mean you would have to return the equipment.

Re: Help

Wow that's really stupid. Most married couples share accounts and bills, cant see why there isn't the option to add someone to a broadband bill.  Thanks for your help anyway

Sky policy. It has worked for them for decades so it's unlikely to change.

It's primarily because each contract has a single signatory.

Sky have chosen not to facilitate joint accounts/signatories.  (It's not uncommon for telecom utilities)
