Domestic & General Query

Thanks for passing my details on to Domestic & General.
They called me multiple times whilst on holiday in Greece but I could not make out what they were saying.
Upon my return another call came in and they claimed to be Sky.
"Sky" wanted me to insure my Sky Q box against breakdown.
I asked "Sky" if they had my correct address and they correctly read it back to me.
I then informed "Sky" that the Sky Q box belonged to them and they were obliged to replace it within 24 hours if it malfunctioned (Removed).
I then asked if they were really Sky to which he told me that they were the insurance company Domestic & General.
So thank you very much "Real Sky" for passing my personal details on to a third party that was not entitled to that information (Removed)

In case you aren’t aware this is a customer to customer forum and you’re not contacting Sky Customer Services by posting on here.

Sky Protect is run by Domestic and General Insurance but is endorsed by Sky. Unfortunately D & G have been known to announce themselves as Sky on outgoing calls which I agree is a bit naughty.

On the above point there is no obligation for Sky to replace a faulty box within 24 hours.

There has been no fraud or attempt and you're quite right to decline the invitation of cover if that's what you want to do.
