@Hannaball

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.

This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears by typing it it to start the chat:

https://community.sky.com/t5/Did-you-know/Escalating-a-post-to-a-Sky-expert/ba-p/3711147

When the chat bubble does appear you will need to respond to it as soon as you can or it will be closed if there is no response within 48 hours. To start the conversation just type in it.
This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Re: Credit Refund after leaving Sky

Hi, I cancelled Sky in August but have not yet got a refund. Can anyone from Sky help me with this?

@yksky
Refunds can take up to 6 weeks from your last day of connection providing the payment method is still active on your Sky account. It will take longer if the payment method has been cancelled as Sky will have to manually raise a cheque and post it to you.

If you wish we can help get it refunded within 3-5 working days via the Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if that’s what you want to do but please confirm in your reply it’s currently showing as a credit on your Sky account.

@yksky

I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Messaging Team should contact you later.

You need to watch out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread fairly regularly.

This link explains what happens.

Re: Credit Refund after leaving Sky

Jumping back on this thread to ask if anyone can PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD help me to get my money back? Left SKY in early August, was told refund would be made in late September's billing cycle and surprise, surprise, still no refund.

Already had this escalated once via this channel but looks like I need to do so again.

I can't believe they get away with this time after time after time after time after time after time after time.

I trust that the well known uber-talented British actor with the worldwide reputation currently featuring on SKY adverts appreciates the reputational damage this association is doing to him (at least in my household)...

Any help to escalate (again) would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

@CA241 To get you some help, I’ve escalated your post to sky community chat who hopefully will be in contact and send you a private community message/email so I would recommend that if not already on, you turn email/private message notifications on to avoid missing any alerts

So look out for a chat bubble across the bottom of the screen when logged onto the forum

This link explains how this works

https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Did-you-know/Escalating-a-post-to-a-Sky-expert/ba-p/3711147#M1014

Be reassured the email & message is from Sky and your details are safe and secure.

Once you receive an invite you’ll have 48 hours to initiate a chat before it automatically times out, also ensure you login to the forum periodically for 48 hours after receiving the invite and check the chat bubble for any responses from sky and make sure you respond to each message from sky within 48 hours of each message, or the chat will time out again

NB 1 If your post has been escalated for a non return fee issue please note proof of postage is required without it refunds are at sky’s discretion

NB 2 If you are using Safari please make sure that Hide IP Address is not checked in order to see the chat bubble. If you are having trouble finding this to check the settings, use another browser such as Chrome

@CA241

The above post appears to be your one and only post so are you now using a secondary Community log in name?

Re: Credit Refund after leaving Sky

Ah yes, apologies, my tech abilities are rather flaky... I think I ended up with two usernames on here and signed on with the "wrong" one relative to the previous post. I have previously received much appreciated help to escalate this claim and am grateful once again to those long-suffering volunteer helpers who seem to deal with this problem rather a lot...

Sadly there is clearly little motivation from within SKY itself to sort out this hideous system. It seems customer service reputation does not matter to them as much as making a few extra £s by hanging on to money that isn't theirs longer than they should (or have the right to). In this time of national hardship where cashflow is tight in so many households, shame on them!
