Cold calling?

Hi, I keep getting unsolicited phone calls from people saying they are from Sky and want to save me money. Do Sky have a sales campaign at the moment that involves cold calling?

Nope, but scammers do.

It is almost certain this is not Sky calling you...  (They are trying to scam their way into your account to order expensive mobiles)

With any unexpected calls from Sky if the caller asks for your telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which a genuine Sky agent should) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll be a scam call.

My neighbour (who is not a current Sky customer) received a cll this afternoon by someone claiming to be from Sky, they even used her first name to address her, which I told her would immediately send up a red flare. Thses people are toatlly unscrupulous.
