Hello I am a long term sky customer and I returned to full time education recently so therefore am earning significantly less and wondered about student discounts. Can these be applied to a contract or only when starting a new contract?

The current student discount sky offers are:
£21 Stream for 24 months: Sky Ultimate TV: £21pm (standard in-contract price usually £28pm) on an 18-month minimum term. Set-up fee of £0 to Sky Stream Puck (usually £20). Standard pricing after 18 months £31 pm. Prices may vary. Add Sky Sports from £40 per month for 24 months thereafter goes up to £61 per month. (Sports standard pricing is £30 pm).
£24 Stream for 9 months, thereafter £31pm: Sky Ultimate TV: £24pm for 9 months, thereafter £31 pm when taken on rolling monthly contract term. Cancel anytime. £0 Set-up fee of £0 to Sky Stream Puck (usually £20). Prices may vary. Add Sky Sports from £45 per month for 9 months thereafter goes up to £61 per month. (Sports standard pricing is £30 pm).
£38 Stream and Superfast Broadband for 18 months: Sky Ultimate TV from £21 pm (standard pricing £31 pm), Sky Broadband Superfast 80 from £17 pm (standard pricing £43 pm) and Sky Pay As You Talk (£0 pm). Standard price applies after 24 months (£74 pm). Prices may change during minimum terms. £0 upfront fee (Normal pricing: TV set-up: £10. Broadband: £9.95 router delivery; £10 connection fee). Offer not available with any other offers.
