Account increase.

Hi. I would like to know why bill amount has suddenly changed without anybody letting me know. I am now left with £12 to buy 2 weeks worth of food. It was agreed that I would be paying £20 per month as all I use is the internet connection and suddenly it has gone to £28 without anybody letting me know. The fact that you have changed the amount without talking to me about it is classed as theft and I am really not happy about it.

@Anthonie

This is a community where customers help each other so you are not talking to Sky so this might help to explain it:

It sounds like the minimum term on your package has come to and end so the discount you had has now finished. When you took this out you would have been told how long it was going to last for so now is the time to call Sky to see if they will offer you a further discount for the next 24 months if you agree to a new contract.

If you have a Sky Mobile or Sky Talk landline phone then you can call Sky for free via the 150 number. Or under "Need more help ?" at the bottom this page is the number to call:

@Anthonie  If your price increases and you have not kept track of when your discounts end does not make it theft.

If you were paying £20 per month it sounds like you were on the social tariff and this only lasts for set time as exlained here

The broadband part of the social tariff only lasts for 24 months and then reverts to the full cost but if you’re still eligible you will then need to re-apply.
