Will we be able to record broadcasts on BT Sport Ultimate? I've always been able to record SKY Sports UHD coverage even when it was behind the red button. Hopefully this will be the case with BT too.

As posted elsewhere, BT Sport Ultimate is a broadcast channel delivered via satellite on Q and accessed by the red button on a normal BT Sport channel when an event is live.

This is exactly like how F1 and other events are accessed (if not via the recently launched Sky Sports Main Event Ultra HDR channel).

Hi @stereohaven

Personally I never use the above red button route and normally access UltraHD by using the Home Sports Tab

Edited original post, BT Sport Ultimate UHD due to launch today on satellite and Glass will not go ahead. I will amend the post when a new date has been confirmed.

What's the reason for the delay?

@Super+Anthony  It's unlikely sky will give an official reason on a public forum

@scotnod

Not any more I'm afraid. A new launch date will no doubt be announced in due course. As previously stated Sky are unlikely to give any reasons for the delay.

Not surprised

Sky often do this, get us excited with a launch of something, and then it gets delayed or cancelled

@Super+Anthony  Could well be an issue at BT's end.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Changes to the Sky TV guide - August 2022

Possibly, but why would Sky put this announcement out saying it's going to happen?

You could be right, but I think it's Sky

it would good if Sky came out with some reasoning don't you think?

@Super+Anthony  Sky have no control over BT Sports though, all Sky need to do is add them to the EPG (although not applicable in this case as its a red button service).

I can't see how Sky can be delaying anything in this case.

@Super+Anthony  I agree with @GD1  bt own the service and can prevent sky from launching it on sky platforms  if they so choose even after initially setting the launch date
