When someone calls my landline phone it only rings for 33 seconds. If the phone is downstairs and I'm upstairs I have to tear down a flight of stairs in order to get to it before it cuts off. Apparently the callers who cannot get through tell me after 33 secinds they get a message telling them it is not possible to connect the call at present or a message simiar to that. I have no answering service on the line and the phone does not have a built-in answerphone and I'm not interested in getting one. I just want my phone to ring for longer so it allows me to get to it in time. How can I achieve this, please?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreMy understanding is that the delay before the 'no connection' message isn't configurable, I'm afraid.

That's annoying.
Thanks for your reply, Mark39, but I hope somebody else can dispute this...please!
