Can my disconnected number be reactivate by sky

Hi, 

 

my phone line was disconnected before my number was posted accross and now the link is deactived . 

is there a way to get the number back. i've had this number for over 25 years.

@MrSingh  If your number was disconnected before Sky took over the line then I'm afraid there is no way to retireve that number.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

where does this number go then. there must be a way of getting it back. 

I was told 2 different things this morning. 

1st that the number can be ported over for up to 30 day after disconnection. 

2md time. that the number can not be port. it is lost. 

not sure who to believe and why am i getting different sets of information from the same company.

The number goes into the pool of unused numbers. So far as I know, Sky have no process for retrieving a number from the unused pool.

 

Are you trying to return to Sky? Or signing up with another provider?

If you've just switched to Sky Broadband and Sky Talk Sky provide guidance which includes;

 

Your phone number

Most of the time you can keep your existing number when moving to Sky Talk. Just let us know your existing number and your phone provider when placing your order.

If we can’t transfer your number or you want a new one, you’ll get an email or letter with your new number.
