There are a few crime channels. Is it Sky Crime, Crime+Investigation, or True Crime?
In any case the channels are broadcast on different frequencies so losing the main channel while the +1 is still working is certainly possible.
You will probably need an engineer visit to check the dish alignment but Sky are no longer providing engineer visits for Sky+ (unless you have Sky Protect insurance) and will advise you to switch to Sky Q.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more"No Satellite Signal" is an error generated by your Sky box and usually indicates an issue with one or more of the following:
You may have to call out a local satellite installer, unless you have Sky Protect insurance, to check/fix your system, another option is to move to Sky Q, as during the move all issues will be resolved as part of the install, there is also the option of Sky Glass or Sky Stream, if you want to move away from satellite TV and use the Internet

As said above it's perfectly normal to lose a particular channel but others still work fine when there is a slight dish alignment fault.
You still haven't said which crime channel is affected; Sky Crime, True Crime, or Crime+Investigation?
