We finished S2 of The Artful Dodger last night on Disney+. This has been a great series in that the cast, the storylines, the acting, and the cinematography are all really great. David Thewlis was probably destined to play Fagin at some point in his career, and he's very good at it, too. Well worth a watch if you enjoy an historical, lively romp.

Yes Im sure I  mentioned watching it on here before.

Loved it.

I love my Dickens in books, film and tv series and this for me has so captured the spirit of it all. I am  sure he would have lived and welcomed this ideal too, hehe!

Hoping they do a series 3...

  ... After that S2 cliffhanger, I reckon Fagin hopes there's a S3 too.

Re: What's your 'must watch' shows? 📺

I think my must-watch show right now is The Last of Us.

I think Series 1 was the best, and honestly if it wasn't renewed for a second and third series, the ending was still good on its own. Looking forward to Series 3 when it comes out as Series 2 was left on a cliffhanger.

My favourite episode of The Last of Us is "Long, Long Time", with Bill and Frank.

Spoiler
It was so beautiful how their relationship developed and how they were truly in love. I found it a little hard to watch when Bill was distrustful of everyone and took it out on Joel a bit. It was so sad to see when Frank got sick. I love how they got married in the living room. I really admired the love they had, which was evident from how Bill didn't want to live without Frank after revealing he put drugs in his own drink too. When they retired to their room, I felt sorry it had to end that way.

I think Nick Offerman (Bill) and Murray Barlettt (Frank) are two fantastic actors who really made me believe their characters.

100% agree. That episode was one the single best episodes of television in recent years. Superb performances and beautifully directed. The final shot made me weep. Stunning.

Wuthering Heights (Dr. Bryan Ferriter) is a four-year-old movie from 2022, yet it's on Sky Premiere. Odd! I can only assume it's been on other services in the interim.

I'm thinking it is the more recent one directed by Emerald Fennell from 2026, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi

Ah, thanks. That makes more sense. Was looking at some bad guide data :). I can see the Emerald Fennell version now.

911 jumped the shark? (spoilers)

Hi, I'm sure I'm not alone in catching up with old sky tv programmes that moved to Disney, we we hve 'free' Disney+.

Spoiler
I'm working my way through 911 and find Athena is at the therapist as she is terrified of cruise ships, after watching The Possiden Adventure.

Guess what, yep, goes on a cruise anyay, the ship flips & the whole episode i a re-make of The Pssiden Adventure.

Surely this programme has now jumped the shark. I'm ure the writers know so, as they even showed a shark in th background 🐵

Even more unbeliveable, 118, on a 'hunch' (used for very lame writing and lack of ides) take the LAPD helecoptor, fly out though a hurricane, somehow land on the upturned vessel asnd sve the day!

I know the programme is fiction & they take great liberties with reality (like Maddie being able to directly talk with any single person atthe touch of her screen)

If you are not convinced that the shark has been jumped,

guess what (you never will) Buck turns gay in the next episode!

Wuthering Heights is also available on HBO Max, though depending on what package you currently have, you may need to upgrade your package to access it.
