Sky 3 has recently appeared at top of screen.it stops me using sky as I want

As @GD1 indicates, that's almost certainly the television set telling you that it's detecting a Sky box on HDMI input #3. There may be an option in the television settings to turn this input notification off: you'd need to use the television remote control to access those settings, not a Sky remote (even if 'paired')

I have checked to and the message at the top of screen says Sky3(sky q)

I find it hard to be TV when it appeared two weeks ago and I have not used tv remote for years
