The Conners S6
Does anyone know what is happening with the next season of The Conners - S6 - on Sky Comedy? It aired in the US in February but there's no sign of it over here. I've checked Geektown & they don't have an air date for the UK. I hope Sky is going to continue to show it as there are only two more seasons - 6 & 7 - before it ends.

Re: The Conners S6
Hi Mr Ripley,
I suspect it'll air in the UK once Sky Comedy has finished its current complete-run-through of Seasons 1-5. So, probably in September/October time.
Due to the recent writers/producers/actors strikes, a lot of TV shows' last Seasons are being withheld in the UK, so that we have something "new" to watch in recent months, and in the coming months. As such, a lot of shows that would normally have already aired over here, are being delayed, and then eventually we'll start to catch-up again with the USA.
It's a real pain for UK fans, but there's little we can sadly do about it, frustratingly.

No plans to acquire S6 according to Sky viewing relations

Thanks, @Timelord2018 for finding this out. It's a bit annoying though with only 2 seasons left to air. Makes you wonder why you start watching shows. Only yesterday I read that another Sky Comedy show that I watched, The Franchise has been cancelled after one season. What's the point in investing the time when this sort of thing keeps happening? Kaos on Netflix was another one.

Thats the problem with the TV industry. I hate getting invested in shows just for them to be cancelled at the end of a season without the story being wrapped up and prefer to watch a show thats either a mini-series or has a few seasons already on it. However its a bit of a catch-22 scenario as if you don't watch a new show when its newly released, its viewing numbers will be down so its got a higher probability of being cancelled.

Re: The Conners S6
That sucks and people wonder why we are leaving sky in droves if you get a show commit to it it's so unfair to the viewers and fans

Re: The Conners S6
It's annoying for those who have been watching the show but if Sky didn't want it and no other broadcasters/streamers picked it up either, usually that means the ratings don't justify the cost.

The ratings are still pretty decent tbh from what I can see I think sky are just cheaping out I bet now Hulu have the rights to it will end up on Disney plus as they now own Hulu so can live in hope they get it as I really want to watch it being a huge Roseanne fan to sucks

Re: The Conners S6
Exactly this is what puts people off new shows as they just get swiped or cancelled off the platform so total waste of time watching it and then never knowing what happenes let's hope Hulu on Disney plus get it fingers crossed I think sku made a bad decision here tbh

Lionsgate has international distribution rights now, if anything it turns up on that quietly relaunched Lionsgate+ service on Prime once Sky rights expire , 1 to 4 at the end of this year, 5 is at the end of April 2026.

Re: The Conners S6
Can we have some clarification here? Is it going to be on Disney+/Hulu, or Lionsgate+? I'm hoping Disney+, as I already have an annual subscription with them. Why do these things have to get so complicated? I also find it hard to believe the ratings were so low that Sky cancelled it. There's a lot worse on their platform than The Connors. It was a good reboot which actually made me laugh, unlike most comedy series these days.

Lionsgate would have licence it to Disney+ like they did with past seasons of The Rookie outside of UK & Ireland this year.
It's bound to turn up somewhere after 30th April 2026.

Re: The Conners S6
Yeah I'd like some clarity to as according to the ratings it's the most popular and watched show on ABC in America since the first Roseanne series so I don't understand why sky havnt picked it up I had no idea lion gate had anything to do with it I was told it was owned and distributed by ABC & Hulu which Disney plus own both so I think if we see it anywhere when it expires with sky it will be Disney plus the ratings are in the 10s of millions so it can't be a ratings issue I hate it when sky do this and it's always when your fully invested to in the show sky pick it back up why not ? It's v popular and tube highest rated sitcom of our times so why drop it ?
