Just out of interest, since I only watch on NOW, is having Sky any better for catch up?  I realise you can record the linear channels of course but I just wonder if the number of replays is more on Sky itself?

I did have Sky stream a couple of years ago but cancelled it as it wasn't any better, you couldn't "watchlist" any future matches, for example, so I assume it hasn't got any better since then?

@RichAA1

Not really a tennis fan but just thought I'd check for you regarding replayed matches from the night before which I'd imagine is what your looking for.

i use Sky Q and i can't find any matches from last night/this morning. Nothing in the sports menu under the US open menu or the Sky sports + app other than a few (4 games) highlights clips ranging from 3 to 7 minutes long.

US Open tennis 2026 replays on demand

I have a Sky sports subscription. I have the app installed . Woke up this morning hoping to watch a match that was on overnight. I can't find replays of any matches nor can I find an option to watch whatever coverage was broadcast overnight. Am I missing something on the app or tv? How are fans in the UK supposed to watch overnight matches?

Hi @VoniG   Why didn't you record it?

Repeated posts in the What's On forum suggest this is an ongoing issue for Sky coverage of the US Open.

I don't think that's possible for every match, particularly in the early rounds where the majority are on Sports+ rather than broadcast.

Funny enough I have a Now  tv Sky sports membership and if I go in to sports section of Now Tv app shows some of last nights us open tennis is availble to watch. Not sure if just Sky Q it lacking or is not also not available on Sky stream either. But if it can be put on the Now tv app sports  section why can not it be put on the Sky Q sports section?

You can’t record on a sky q box. Programmes are supposed to be available n demand

hi @VoniG

Unfortunately I don't think SKY make all games available to watch on demand after the match.

They allow you to watch live but from what we see here on the forums only selected games become available to watch afterwards - some I think are in full with others just highlights

We (as other customers) know this is not what sports fans usually expect especially for the likes of the US open which are only live at times not easy to watch unless you switch your schedule to work around US time zones

Hi @VoniG   Do you mean that these particular matches are not broadcast live on a Sky Q channel?

@MightyQuinn I think most matches are only available via the SKY Sports app (just like many of the additional football games are ) rather than being on a Satellite channel (although I guess the 'main' match at any time might be availble via Satellite)

Re: US Open tennis 2026 replays on demand

The matches are broadcast live but not available later on demand. A lot of the matches are played overnight UK time so for me personally and for many others, not possible to watch.

Re: US Open tennis 2026 replays on demand

Hi @VoniG

I watch on NOW. It's very frustrating when there are matches which start at midnight UK time that are not immediately available to watch on demand. You would think Sky would prioritise those matches being made available to watch on demand because it's unrealistic to expect viewers to stay up all night to watch live.

I do find that it's worth looking on the Sky Tennis or Sky+ linear channels the next day to see if the overnight matches are being replayed. I managed to watch the  Kenin vs Williams match on live TV the next day.

Generally Sky are very slow at putting up replays on catch up, there are only two or three per day max and it takes 24 to 48 hours. It's very poor compared to other providers eg TNT.

Unfortunately that same for many sports on Sky. Oftern we want to watch a football match at a later time than when it broadcast live on Sky sports. Unlike providers like TNT sports where you can select forth coming match and put it in " your stuff" on the Ho max app and it able to be viewed when we choose, in fact it stay there for many week later utilising I delete it. No such facilities are available on Sky Sports  on Sky Q  ( not sure if skycstem is any different. Even on Sky sports unlike other channels and providers there is not even the option to " Start from the beginning " if you come in part way though.

Hi @VoniG   In that case, I do not understand why you have not set them to record so you can watch them during the daytime?

@DaveDrizen

Yes, that may be so. I don't watch other sports on Sky, only tennis.

We've gone back to the dark ages on Sky compared to TNT Sports for grand slam coverage. Sadly, in the UK we have no choice but to watch the US open via Sky.
