@Tennis2000 With Sky Tennis I used to get the linear channel and 1 on the red button, now they have taken the second channel away so I am stuck with whatever they show on the linear channel.
Shocking.

Yes @Bubblesjs it's shocking for those that don't have the full sky sports package. Last years US open at least everyone had the court choice but now its only full sports package subscribers has that option, another way to rip off customers unfortunately.

First attempt to watch a match failed. Dominic Thiem Shelton. Not being shown on the three sky sports channels. Two of the channels showing the same match. And I am not paying £26 a month to watch on Now TV. A service far worse than the Amazon Prime streaming which cost £8 per month.

And this is just Condescending

Compared to amazon prime, sky's coverage is a downgrade. I loved the ability to continue any on demand match on any device at the point where you left off.

Its a MAJOR downgrade for a lot more money.
And don't forget we got Discoveryplus fantastic coverage similar to Amazon for the Australian & French Open.
And how did Discovery manage to show EVERY single live event of the Olympics?

It's perhaps worth noting that Amazon were (and are) prepared to lose really significant amounts of money on Prime Video while knowing they can make it back elsewhere: they do have a reasonably substantial sideline in warehousing, logistics and server farming to go with the streaming media operation.
That doesn't excuse the poor showing Sky continue to make of their own tennis coverage, though.

I only realised discovery plus was free with sky q after a few days of the French open starting but enjoyed the all court coverage and on demand for the remainder of the tournament. The Olympics was great starting with the tennis event then after that many other events all on demand plus the option to watch from the start but now we're stuck with sky's second rate coverage but at least it's an improvement on the start of sky's contract when there wasn't even a tennis channel. But it's still very frustrating @Bubblesj.

Dreadful coverage. When Sky got the rights, I reluctantly signed up to a rolling sports package that allows me to watch the main Tennis channel, but not Main Event or +. Usually that suffices as they show the main matches on there, but to kick start their coverage on their dedicated Tennis channel today, they have decided to show a little known British qualifier, ranked 280, against a little known Spaniard who is outside the top 50.
Trying to upgrade to the full package for just 1 month, well that's a story for another thread! So disappointing.

Is anyone getting constant refeezing on sky sports + streams? Since sky sports + launch I've been having intermittent freezing but on day 1 of the US open it's far worse and spoiling my viewing. Everything is fine on the iOS app though

I am getting getting constant refeezing on sky sports + streams I've been having freezing when watching streams of the US open games and it's spoiling my viewing as well. Please Sky sort this out asap

Yes I did the same as I don't watch any other sports and I cannot afford the commitment they are asking - you cannot get the full package at a decent price which I believe is £22 a month but you need a 24 month commitment.

Yes, they offered me something like that but with a 2 year contract. Not wanting to go off topic, as I have mentioned this in another thread, but I would have possibly upgraded for 1 month only but the agents (I rang twice) told me that I would have to phone back next week/month in order to give the 31 days notice to downgrade which is a nonsense as then I would have had it for 2 months, so I declined. Compare that to how easy it was to subscribe to Discovery for a month for the Olympics. Shocking how little the agents seem to know these days. I foolishly assumed that their main Tennis channel would be showing the big courts and top players, so not too hopeful for what is to come.

Yes Discovery is brilliant like that, you just switch on and off when you want.
I stopped Sky Tennis before Roland Garros and watched all the Grass season on BBC so I have just signed up for one month only as even at £20 a month its a lot more money than Amazon or Discovery.
However the agent I spoke to put the order through and also cancelled it on the same day so only paying for a month.
By the way, how much was it monthly if you had upgraded? £36??

I know, we were spoiled with Discovery and Amazon really. 20 odd years ago, when Sky had the rights to the US Open last time, I used to upgrade just for the month and the downgrade was done there and then, but both these agents were utterly clueless. I assume the call centre is now offshore somewhere? I think it was £35, but as I said, they didn't seem to have a clue what they were talking about. The first agent said he couldn't cancel it straight after, the second told me to phone back in a month to give my notice, so I didn't bother as they weren't listening to what I was saying. Since Choinski's match finished we've had nothing but chatter on the Tennis channel. Appalling coverage so far.
