The coverage is poor to say the least with streams freezing sometimes with an error code. No ability to watch on demand and no watch from start. We've certainly gone backwards since Amy took over the contract but I didn't really expect anything different

Sky not Amy haha and we're being ripped off by a second rate coverage

I watch on NOW and I've not seen any changes to the format since Sky Sports plus came in, I only watch tennis when I can be bothered because it's so hit and miss if you can actually find a match you want to see. The bonus streams don't show the match or score on NOW, as far as I can see. The streams are for each court and you can rewind the coverage, when you join, which is something, it used to just be the last two hours of coverage that was available to rewind, but whether that has changed due to + I'm not sure.

A little while ago, I posted sending a complaint to Sky Viewer Relation at viewerr@sky.uk to say
"I guess you are fully aware already what your customers feel about your tennis coverage.
Your comments are much appreciated and have been noted and passed to the Sky Sports team for their awareness. Thanks again for taking the time to share your views."
It is a complete waste of time contacting them since they completely fail to address and answer specific questions put to them.
I am afraid we are stuck with a 2nd rate service from Sky and can do absolutely nothing about it

However, if you were honest, came clean and said that you had no intention of providing what your customers want and what other services provide, it would save us all a lot of trouble feeding back info. which is never going have any impact on your service."
Pretty unrealistic to expect a response from Sky to address that question specifically.

Given the Sky contract is with the two professional tennis bodies who actually own the product being televised, I'd suggest that might be an avenue to explore.

So today I signed up for the sky tennis channel again on a monthly basis to be able to watch Cincinatti and the US Open.
I have just tested it and guess what?
I only have access to one linear channel and no sports plus tennis!
So no choice of courts for me at all.
I do not want or need the whole sports package

From Skys own news article
Only customers with the complete Sky Sports pack will get access to Sky Sports at no extra cost. Anybody with individual sports packs will need to upgrade.

@Daniel0210 thanks. That's what I figured.
I have been spoilt since the French Open, grass tournaments, Wimbledon and the Olympics with BBC and Discovery..
Tearing my hair out again!

I expect quite a few people will get caught out like you have. Last year you could sign up for Sky sports arena/tennis on a 31 day rolling contract - and watch multi court coverage for the US open on your tv/the sky sports app.
This year you need the full sky sports package - all 9 channels - to get multi court coverage following the launch of sky sports+ last week. While I am offered an upgrade to sky tennis/arena for 31 days rolling - so am only committed for a month - the only online upgrade option for the full package (incl sky sports plus) requires me to commit to a two year contract with Sky. I have no idea why the 31 day rolling option is not offered - for a higher price.
Very unsatisfactory. You just feel like you are being conned.
In the end why should you have to pay ten times as much to watch the US open on Sky as it costs you to watch the FO and AO on their competitors who offer a better service as they offer on demand and catch up and watch live/rewind/watch from start option.

@Martym890 Thank you.
After the Joy's of the FO and olympics on Discovery and the grass season and Wimbledon on bbc this is a serious letdown.
I am stuck with a mediocre offering

I paid for a month of NOW TV last year and gave up on it after a few days, it was so useless. They did deign to refund me a couple of weeks. I was about to ask if it will be worth giving them a second chance this year, after all they must have sorted last year's mess out?
Looks like the answer is no.

The lack of replays is absolutely hopeless.
Case in point, i wasnt staying up into the small hours on Sunday morning to watch Drapers QF match against Rune so i set it to record overnight on Skys tennis channel.
On Sunday morning i settle down to watch it. As there was rain delays in the previous mens match and a ladies match on before too it was nearer the end of the recording when Jack took to the court. Right off i knew it was going to be a straight sets win for one of them as there was only about 80 mins of the recording left and i think i'm right in saying the recording extends if the matches overrun so i knew the match would only last for the 80 minutes. So when Rune won the first set i effectively knew there was time for one more set thus spoiling the outcome of the match, completely ruined.
Sky please get full match replays up. You are spoiling peoples enjoyment of the tennis!! ☹️
And have others noticed also that you dont seem to be able to series link the tennis coverage. When i press record it only gives the option to record the current broadcast. So not only are we missing full match replays but unless we remember to manually record every showing we are going to miss watching back the broadcasts too.
I'm at the point where im not even looking forward to the US Open as much as usual due to who is covering it and how bad a job they are doing!

The coverage is not only poor, it's not existing, yesterday womens doubles final cincinnati was listed to stream but opening the stream the match between tiafo and rune was on , worst ever tennis coverage on sky

I really thought the introduction of sky sports + would be a major upgrade for tennis fans with all matches on demand and the option to watch from the start but unfortunately none of that is available which is extremely frustrating. Even the ability to rewind a match is pretty useless as the score is right in front of you even before you get into the match.
the US open qualifiers has just started and for whatever reason sky are streaming just 4 courts when's there's actually 12 courts in place.
after having 5 years of tennis on Amazon prime, skys coverage is a major step backwards.
rant over but for what we pay we deserve so much better
