If I had it I would either be casting from the desktop or Android app to my new Chromecast; I'm not sure what you use but I guess it may make a difference unless the problem is definitely at source

@DavidCPreston you wouldn't be able to cast has sky don't allow the feature within their app or streams
Also sky doesn't support laptop pc or Mac when it comes to the extra streams only the linear channel

That has obviously picked up the Sky Sports in New Zealand.
Their product has allowed Chromecast dependent on the sports rights they offered. So some were restricted for casting.
Sky New Zealand has a similar name, similar set of products, but has always had totally different ownership.
Think many years ago there was some shared synergy between the two but that is where it ends.

Absolutely terrible coverage for an exorbitant fee from Sky/Now TV. They are a truly diabolical company who doesn't even respond to letters of complaint. Because they have exclusive rights and a monopoly for the US open we have to pay them for extremely substandard coverage , and they know this. Only showing 2-3 replays of matches for on demand or catch up. They have destroyed the grand slam coverage we get in the UK.

I don't dispute what you're saying but I don't see anything that suggests NZ and it does state UK

That's the inherent problem with AI being trained on an open dataset like the entire internet. The AI won't necessarily get the full context of the information it's learning from so if some information just mentions Sky Sports or Sky Go for instance it may not have the context of the country in that data.
Therefore it's possible the AI provides a result which may apply for a service called Sky Sports in another country but isn't actually applicable to the UK.
AI is much better when it's trained on a closed dataset that has full context on the data.

The existence of Sky Network Television Limited in New Zealand (which has a whole raft of similar product names to Sky UK, part of Sky Group, a division of the Comcast Corporation) has caused much confusion over the years. While both have origins as Murdoch companies, they are now entirely unrelated.

Sky (NZ) does indeed have a 'Sky Sport' (no trailing 's') service.
https://www.sky.co.nz/discover/sky-sport
and an app to go with it
https://www.welcome.skysportnow.co.nz/faq-mobile-app
which permits mirroring....

Can I please ask what consideration in the future means? How long will we have to wait - another year or 2. I wonder if Customers have a case for being missold a product as we are all clearly not getting the service we were promised. I for one cannot wait for my contract to end, this is costing me a fortune.

It would take me forever to do this cos the skupski doubles match stopped 6 times in 5 minutes today 😡currently trying to watch the Dart match via Sky stream. Just stopped for the 3rd time in 3 mins and took me back to the page to watch Wolves and Burnley. Can I just get my money back 😳😡

So I was hoping & praying Sky Sports + Tennis would be a huge improvement on the atrocious coverage since Sky took over the contract from Amazon Prime in 2023. Well...it seems not! It's basically the exact same service as what went before except you can now pause the streams on the red button. As far as I can determine, you still can't watch match replays on demand apart from the 2 matches they deign to show on Ch 407, the Sky Sports Tennis Channel on my Sky Q. You still can't watch the streams from the start (only live) and can't rewind. So, in truth, apart from a glossy new Sky Sports rail that appears when I press red button and the fact I can pause the stream, there is not one iota of difference. Absolutely shocking. Why can't Sky provide access to all matches, all streams, either live or on demand just like Prime did and just how Discovery + do. And as for the clunky layout of this messaging forum, it took about 20 mins before I could find a correct thread.
Frankly feel very let down by Sky & cheated into signing up to a new 2year Tv Package. I used to pay £18/month rolling contract (on top of my base tv pack) for Sky Sport Tennis only, cancellable any time. But when Sky Sports + launched, I was locked out of red button stream and told on screen that I needed to "upgrade" contract to access Sky Sports + (aka the red buttom). It directed me to the contract page on the TV offering £18/month for all Sky Sports + channels but I'd to sign a new 2 year contract. Or pay £5 more per month for a rolling contract. I complained to Sky, informed the advisor that I just want my rolling £18 month tennis but was told sorry if you want that price you need to sign 2 years. I was told it was "such a good deal" as I now got all the Sky Sports channels on Sky Q for the same amount I was paying before but I don't need and won't use football, golf or other sports channels. I just want Tennis.

Please be aware that if you are on a streaming TV contract of longer than 12 months not fully paid for in advance, then you can cancel it, penalty free, with just 31 days notice. The recent Media Bill which passed through Parliament in July permits this.
Sky have already allowed many customers on 18 & 24 month contracts to leave without penalty.

Do you know exactly which clause permits this? I did have a brief look at the Media Bill but, as it's the equivalent of 142 pages, it's going to take a long time! Searching for the phrase "31 Days" in order to try and find the relevant section didn't find anything.
