Sky sports + hd coverage and production/editing is truly awful. During the live game Preston v Norwich Saturday 20th December the producer/camera editor kept zooming in to the stands, dugouts and focus on managers while the game is actually being played. Also action replays were being played while the live game was still 'in play'. When the ball went out of play or there was a good length of time for injury etc, this time could have been used instead. The production of this game was like the work of chimpanzees. This was frustrating to watch knowing the game was unfolding but instead we watch a close up of Stuart McCall, Phillipe Clement or in the stands. This exacerbated my frustrations of the continuous drop out of the Sheffield United v Norwich game on the 9th December. Pay a lot of money for this and the product is truly shocking. I'd be embarrassed as a sports producer to dish this up to the viewing public.

I may be wrong, but i thought the football league was in charge of their own production for matches being broadcast on TV and the production wasn't being done by Sky TV, which would likely explain the drop in quality for some games when compared with the production quality you seen when PL matches are broadcast.

Thanks and didn't realise that. It is actually IMG as the production company so I have sent an email. Thanks

@MarkGoldsmith you are correct, whilst Sky produce their main broadcast FL games, anything via sky sports plus is done via the football league and their production partners
