Sky TV Schedule Archive
Hi,
Does anyone know if Sky maintains an archive of programme schedules?
So I am wanting to trace a particular documentary from May 2001, but cannot remember which channel it was on except that it was a Sky TV channel.

Re: Sky TV Schedule Archive
It was a documentary program on either a Discovery channel or history channel about post-world war II in Italy and featured a troop inspection in Trieste

Hi @JonD1492,
Thank you very much for suggesting this. However, my memory is of a factual documentary rather than a dramatisation; but I will certainly give it a watch

Re: Sky TV Schedule Archive
It's hard to find.
One thing I would consider is that for many newspapers, they do archives including tv listings.
I had a brief look at Irish Times and they list Discovery channel and Nat Geo in May 2001, but not History Channel on their daily pages.
Your local library might be able to help with access as library usually for the public do have resources for old newspaper archives.
I hope you find something special.

Re: Sky TV Schedule Archive
There's this in the British Pathe film library:
https://www.britishpathe.com/asset/102400/
If it's the clip used in the documentary then Pathe may be able to tell you who they have licenced it to.
Soldiers of the 551st. regiment prepare to leave Prosecco Barrack. U.S. Gen. John A. Dabney comes out of the barrack to meet Gen. de Renzi. Sign 'Spearhead regiment'. U.S. flag. The Castle of Duino where the Allied Headquarters are (2 shots). Children waving Italian flag. The flag of the 2nd battalion Lancashire Fusiliers arrives, followed by the battalion. British troops, drawn up. Arrival of the U.S. Army Guard of Honour. Anglo-American troops at attention, presenting arms. Photographers. Gen. de Renzi, Vice. Chief of the Staff of Italian Army, arrives in Trieste, to take over Military Command of the town. Gen. de Renzi is accompanied by Minister Fracassi (in civilian dress). Gen. de Renzi and Ten. Col of U.S. Army Hawke, exchange military salutes. Gen. de Renzi and others pass review British and American troops drawn up in the courtyard of the castle. After the review the Military authorities go inside the castle where Gen. de Renzi will take over from Gen. Winterton.
