Paramount+ Premium that has content in 4K is not available yet in UK/Ireland
Paramount + Premium plan is available in North America and some select countries in Europe at the moment
UK/Ireland It's planned for launch at some stage possibly towards end of 2024 but no actual date has been confirmed yet
It's not known if sky will provide the option to upgrade to the premium plan when launched in UK/Ireland

This is finally launching on 20th November. From that date, Paramount+ will follow the trend of most other streamers and have three tiers of subscriptions...
- A cheaper ad-supported tier at £4.99 p/m
- Standard ad-free HD tier at £7.99 p/m (equivalent to the current offering included with Sky Cinema)
- Premium 4k HDR tier at £10.99 p/m.
Looking forward to seeing how Sky will handle this for existing subscribers through Sky.

Sky Cinema customers will remain on the Paramount+ Standard tier - does actually say Paramount+ Standard' in Paramount+ account page when subscribed via Sky Cinema now
Was suggested in other thread they could remove Paramount+ from Sky Cinema (new contracts or new subscribers) not sure how likely that is.

It would make more sense to offer it like they do Netflix where Sky Cinema subscribers could add a top-up to get premium. As the new content available on Sky Cinema has declined in recent years, Sky need a value-add to retain those existing subscribers.

Is there not even an option to get the Paramount+ premium 4k option via Sky then? I'd happily pay a couple of extra quid for it.

I supect we won't get a way to upgrade to 4K and stuck on Standard. I won't be suprised if at some point they decide to downgrade it to the Ad plan as usually sky have been cheap but maybe they could tie the 4K to the UltraHD part and upgrade us like they did netflix before the netflix changes so it makes it better value for money as lately sky has not really been that much.
So far I not seen anyone with a plan and pay a difference. I would love if they did but can't see it. Might end up having to pay for a year and might get the discounted year plan. Makes my getting rid of sky cinema decision easier as sky cinema has not been any value but I got to wait to ditch sky in 2026.
