hi @Daza85
Whilst SKY & NOW are part of the same global company owned by Comcast, they work as two separate companies, each with their own subscriptions and offers.
You will not be able to get this offer via SKY - if NOW are doing a similar offer you would need to ask there (there are separate forums for NOW) - although I suspect the more transient nature of NOW subscribers will mean it is unlikely to be on offer

The Sky VIP 'reward' scheme is for Sky subscribers: it presumably exists in part to differentiate Sky from the (cheaper) Now service.

Without sounding blunt if you want the benefit of Sky VIP offers you need to subscribe to Sky not Now TV.
You wouldn't shop at Icelend and expect the offers at Tesco to be provided would you?

Well I'll say thanks for you replies, but what's the physical difference between sky cinema on now tv and sky tv? What's the cost difference?
nice analogy between Iceland & Tesco but if there is no physical difference between sky cinema on Sky and on Now Tv why would you pay more? Or are they using cinema tickets to stop you from moving ??
Are we saying because there is no fix contract beyond monthly for Now Tv customers this is another reason not for having this offer?
But any how, we just wanted to check so appreciate your replies.

False equivalency. Iceland and tesco are separate entities with no connection other than they both sell food.
Sky cinema is sky cinema, whether you pay for it from sky or now. Its the same product.
If you got free cinema tickets for buying a Mars Bar you wouldn't expect to only get them if you bought the Mars bar in tesco.
The offer is for sky cinema subscribers, which you are on now. If they just said for Sky customers with a Sky cinema subscription then that would be different wouldn't it!

Then super valu and centra in ireland or Tesco and Londis in UK (tesco own booker group who own londis)
If you have an issue with Now you need to complain to Now.
You would not go to londis social media to complain about Tesco

I didn't come here to complain. Its not my complaint. I was just replying to a comment, if that's okay with you?

Correct Sky Cinema is Sky Cinema as a product but its sold by numerous different companies as you can subscribe via Sky, NOw, EE and Virgin as example. But the VUE ticket benefit is a benefit provided by the company Sky for Sky customers. Whilst Sky may own and operate NOW, its operated as a different company with different services at a different price point.

I think that's more than reasonable.
I think the issue stems from whenever you see the offer outside of Sky, it says free tickets to sky movies subscribers. Which you can be without being a sky customer.
I can understand where the initial complainant was coming from with misleading wording on the offer.
Personally I'd rather pay for the cinema than pay through the roof for sky, but each to their own.

Clearly they are trying to use it as a way of getting people into the older off-peak screenings and hope they pay the ridiculous prices for the snacks and drinks they offer. Personally I wouldn't see the cinema tickets as a persuader to subscribe to Sky Cinema at all.
i completely get that cinemas have struggled over the past several years and it wasn't until films like Top Gun came out that they started to see business back to pre-pandemic levels but I can't help but think the era of cinemas may have gone. Do I expect all cinemas to close? No - but I can see the major chains closing a number of them and running with a smaller more profitable range of cinemas.

Find out morebeing completely honest the offer heading is slightly misleading but if you read down then it does say quite prominantly that you need the mysky app and a VIP subscription to take advantage of the offer which as far as i am aware you need to be a active Sky customer to have a VIP subscription which would rule out nowtv customers as well as anyone subscribing through third party suppliers
