That's the way global sports broadcast rights go.  TNT bought France and Australia, Sky sucessfuly bid for USA and the BBC retains Wimbledon because that's currently protected in UK law.

Re: French and US Open 2025

Thanks, you've saved me a lot of money.  Will not be accepting delivery of the sky box now.  Glad I came on here as Sky told me they were showing the French.

Thanks again.

wbd, the owner of the rights to the french open, had only announced on tuesday that they were closing eurosport and moving it's content to TNT sports.

You need Discovery + premium which is only included "for free" if you sign up to TNT Sports via Sky.

Last year, yes, but things have changed since then (and Warner Bros Discovery Inc stockholders have been getting rather restless recently ; )

I wonder how much more restless they will get once they see how much it is going to cost WDB to rebrand Max to HBO Max again.

Worth every cent apparently...

Returning the HBO brand into HBO Max will further drive the service forward and amplify the uniqueness that subscribers can expect from the offering. It is also a testament to WBD’s willingness to keep boldly iterating its strategy and approach – leaning heavily on consumer data and insights – to best position itself for success.
