This seems to be a fairly common issue with the Disney+ app on Sky Q, Sky Glass, and Sky Stream.

A few things you can try:

  • Reboot your Sky device – fully power it off at the wall, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Check your Wi-Fi connection on the Sky box itself – sometimes it can drop even if the rest of your broadband is working fine.
  • Try signing out of Disney+ and back in again – if you can get to the login screen.
  • Check for system updates – go to Settings > System Info > Software Version to see if there's an available update.
  • Try Disney+ on another device (e.g. tablet, Smart TV, etc.) – just to confirm it's isolated to the Sky device.

If it keeps happening, it's worth contacting Sky Support, as they may be able to escalate the issue or provide a workaround.

Remember, on Sky Q it will always look like an update is available, but the box just downloads and reinstalls the current version of the software. Unless the box has been powered down for a long period it's not likely to need a manual update anyway.
