@CWS73. No, unfortunately not with an iPad. I could if I had Apple TV but the iPad doesn't support Chromecast which is a bit annoying.

For me part of the problem was that Sky offered no reduction in the price of the signature package to reflect the loss of Eurosport
Nor would I have expected them to. There's no requirement for Sky to reduce a subscription cost due to channels leaving the epg.

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25
Hello all
Some will be aware that I contacted the ASA Advertising Standards Agency about Sky advertising with regards to false claims on the advertising on packages.
Now there were skeptics that it would do nothing.
In actual fact the ASA acted on it, it was resolved 'informally'. Details are below -
ASA Complaint ref xxxxxxxx Sky UK Ltd
Dear Mr xxxxxxxx,
Thank you for contacting the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) about a TV Deals page on the Sky website which referred to sports content on discovery+.
We contacted the advertiser about the matter, and they explained that the reference to sports content on discovery+ in the ad you saw was an error, which Sky have confirmed was amended on Friday 14th February. Sky have also provided an assurance that steps have been taken to ensure no similar errors appear in any other marketing materials.
On that basis, we have resolved the case informally and will close our file. Basic information about the complaint will be published on the rulings page of the ASA website.
Thank you again for taking the time and trouble to write to us. If you’d like some more information about what we do and the action we’ve taken against advertisers who break the code, please have a look on our website.
Kind regards,

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25
Well i've upgraded to TNT Sports on the phone yesterday but i've been offered exactly £30 per mth with a £1 per mth price increase due on 1st April. I know it's minimal but slightly annoying that it seemed to be £29 if you did it online?! The slight discount would have made me feel a bit better about the whole price increase things.....🤔

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25
Well good luck with that.
My communication with Sky has been an unmitigated disaster. After agreeing with me they would cancel my TV contract wef 28 February they sent me details of my new 18 month contract at an increased cost (which of course I had not signed up for). After I told them it was being cancelled they admitted it was a glitch and have deleted Sky Signature and Multiscreen from my account but have left HD on my bill at £8/month. I'm not sure what I am supposed to do with that. Perhaps use it on the new equipment that they are going to exchange for my old Sky Q box.
The sheer levels of incompetence are staggering.
I would suggest you read all emails very carefully and also look at your future bills, visible on the app. It seems to me generic emails are being used with a few bolt on bits that don't square with the rest of the message.

Yes. I agree with I-Pod. A complete money grab by an Amercian streaming service that very few people in America watch which of course takes me to the first point I made on this forum two and a half weeks ago. You can not squeeze 6 channels worth of programming in to 4 and you can not record the red button as welll!

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25
Help, there seems to be some information about this change but I cant find how it is going to effect me
Current situation
I pay £30/month for TNT Sports
With this I get Discovery+ Standard
I’m interested in the following :
- World Endurance Championship
- Moto GP
- World Superbikes
- Cycling
- Champions League and Europa League
I don’t have the best internet available at the house and struggle to watch streamed sports as it appears to judder (movement of the ball, cars moving etc) One reason I use TNT sports to record / watch on Sky Q the likes of football motor/motor cycle racing etc,
With this change am I :
- Expected to pay extra to get the new version of Discovery and thus have to stream the content above, in considerably lower quality
- Pay the same amount and still have access to TNT Sports via SKY Q and thus the ability to record to my sky Q box. If so what access will I have to Discovery content for those items not shown on TNT Sports
- Or will I have to access the Discovery app via Sky Q (which is absolutely awful in my opinion) or access the Discovery app from my TV which is better but still a bit pants
Not long to the first round of Moto GP and WEC and I haven’t got a clue how I will watch
Thanks

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25
I have good news. All MOTO G.P. 250,125 and the newWomen^s MOTO G.P. series will be on T.N.T. Sports 2. Depending on the time difference between Europe and Asia ALL World and Superbike rounds will be on T.N.T. Sports 1 2 or 3. However some of the World and Superbike races will have commercial breaks during the racing, particulay if it is still under the editorial control of Eurosport as will still be the case in Europe.

Re: Closure of Eurosport channels 28/02/25
I never saw an advert during an actual race on Eurosport, in the all the years I've watched it on there. Between racing, yes.
On the D+ app, you don't get the adverts at all on a live broadcast, I certainly haven't had any, whether it's the Sky app or through Android.

Yes. You are correct in Europe they have ad breaks during the racing not on British Eurosport which since 1996 it has always been.

Re: No more WSB or BSB on Sky
Same here. No way I'm paying any extra on top of the Sky subscription. I only watch the motorcycling anyway so having football, rugby etc etc is no advantage to me.

Re: No more WSB or BSB on Sky
After reading Stuart Higgs comments, I might boycott BSB. He has basically said we should just pay it. He clearly misses the whole point of the acrimony behind what's going on.

Get a EE phone sim, certain priced sims include Discovery App free, where you can stream it to your tv.
