No! It's so sad to see the remaining (of what was) Sky Sports Active interactive channels closing. Should change it to a "Sky Christmas" FAST channel, showing all Christmas content from the full range of channels from Sky. (Maybe bring back free-to-view weekends? I miss those)

Christmas films have arrived even earlier this year I see.

Will certainly make many customers happy that love those types of films.

Been a good many years now, these Christmas films have arrived months early, so it must be a good win for the broadcasters themselves and their advertising budgets.

Roll on to the changeover the Christmas music channels on Sky too...

Must admit, I'm one that just loves all types of Christmas films and will drop in and out of the Great Christmas channels for the next few months for the big build up to the whole month Christmas celebration of December, when we so enjoy and celebrate it together throughout the month.

For us, these films offer a good sense of feel good, escapism, Christmas decoration loveliness, all with a touch of corny and comedic scripts at times, putting a welcome smile on our faces.

I certainly do feel more cozy at home with the Christmas music/movie channels on in the background, especially while bringing down the Christmas tree...

... in November/December. I do respect that there is an audience for earlier Christmas celebrations (ever heard the phrase "Christmas in July"?) but its fascinating to me how much sooner these channels are launching. We're not even in fall yet and they're already jingling their bells!

Great movies have done the rebrand the last few years in September. Last year was the 5th September.

About Tuesday 30th September 2025:
The Channels HD Chanels from SKY Sports And Cinema never was  on 8XX on my SKY box, they was always on 3XX and 4XX in HD, just SKY Sports News HD... is on 866.

I hope you will Close the SD Channels from the Entertainment as well, and open HD for all Viewers.
Like it is with SKY Cinema and Sports.

Commercial subscribers are the only ones who have the affected Sports/Cinema channels in the 800 range. If you're just a residential subscriber you won't have them listed.

That's not going to happen within the remaining limited lifespan of satellite broadcasting: it's already been done for the streaming platforms.

I mean they chaned Sky Sports Racing SD to HD and that without Pairing and that runns without HD Sub.
And they gived up the Pairing for Sky History HD and Chrime + IInvestigantion HD

What i want to say with that, Nothing is inpossible.

But having inclusive HD is an incentive for users to move from satellite to streaming, which is what Comcast wants them to do.

Other satellite providers in Europe have removed HD channels entirely from their EPGs to encorage people to go to streaming devices. an example would be Movistar Plus+ in Spain.

It seems like a lot of broadcasters who have HD channels use a HD to SD version for the SD version, so it feels like a better version of SD than traditional SD. For example, watching Friends on Comedy Central SD, the quality seems to be on par with Comedy Central HD.

So I don't think removing HD channels in favour of Sky Stream is logical for Sky. Also, they still have the HD add on. They would lose money if they did that.

And actually, doing a little research, many channels that are in HD usually only broadcast the HD content. It's automatically downgraded for the SD simulcast.

Sky Germany for Example  had Shutdown almost all SD Channels, Canal+ France also, they use just only HD Channels via Satellite.
