But now there's a wider issue that Sky needs to fill up EPG blank, anything else feels basically impossible. True sometimes tough decisions are needed for Reshuffle after the removal of genre,  I guess Sky can launch and create a new slot imo. Did back in the day around 00 like fast channels.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - March 2026

The things they had going for Ofcom was applied to World War TV last June. It's also important as any new channels that could get the Entertainment/Documentaries, News, Kids and Religious to fill up all the blank or other slots. One of my ideas was Sky not planning to relaunch LA Muscle TV ends up straight with That's TV 2 or 3 anywhere around Movies respectively, Allocate EPG Launch.

Parsa TV, Squid TV, STIRR TV, CxTV, Roku, publiciptv, Livestreamlinks, Worldlivetv

World War TV - Ofcom applied to June 2025,
LA Muscle TV - Maybe Relaunch or replace That's TV 2 and 3.
H20 TV
RVTV HD /Cannella Media
TBC
Genesis Science Network / GSN
Popstar! TV, HD or +1

News

Newsmax HD
Anewz TV - after WION closure

Religious

Shalom World TV

Kids

DreamWorks, HD or +1
Kartoon Channel/ KC! or +1
Moonbug

Brat TV HD

@UT393 Sky do not have any control over third party free to air channels.. The EPG is regulated by Ofcom and any channel that has a UK broadcast licence and is carried on the Astra satellites at 28degrees East must be given an EPG slot if they want one..Sky can only delist a channel if the broadcaster does not pay the regulated fee or breaks the rules.

Satellite carriage costs serious money and is the main reason why smaller channels do not appear. Streaming using platforms like You Tube is far cheaper. Carraige on the platform Glass and Stream uses requires a contract to be negotiated.

Realistically it's extremely unlikely that most of those channels would attract sufficient audience to justify the cost of satellite data transit (which goes to the satellite owner, not Sky) particularly with satellite transmission to the UK being in its final few years.

In addition, streaming outside a designated EPG removes the need to go through a whole lot of compliance and regulatory oversight.

Dreamworks kids channel isn't happening when there is a Sky Kids

There is also Dreamworks movies on Sky Cinema , there was a pop up channel a couple of months ago.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - March 2026

@Chrisee I understand what youre saying and frankly there's nothing wrong with ofcom licence to give Sky a new slot. Can't be all EPG sees the removal of channels, Or to be filled with EPG Blank. World War TV applied to ofcom in June 2025.

@Timelord2018 Sky meant to be DreamWorks after 2015 launch, but failed.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - March 2026

Surely that would work better for Omega TV UK on Lyngsat.

I dont understand what you mean

Both Dreamworks and Sky have the parent company- Comcast and it's been like that since 2018.

Re: Changes to the TV Guide - March 2026

Are we getting changes to Sky Comedy?

Since they moved the Sky Stand up shows ,Sky Original comedy , SNL , Last Week Tonight with John Oliver + Community  and Will & Grace boxsets to Sky One, 95% of On Demand content will expire in the next few weeks.
