Friday 1st August 2025

• Sky Sports Action (Satellite 412/878 - Sky Glass/Stream 410) renames to SkySp Lions / SkySp Lions HD (temporary change)

Saturday 2nd August 2025

• Sky Greats (Satellite 304/849 - Sky Glass/Stream 304) renames to Sky Jaws / Sky Jaws HD (temporary change)

Monday 4th August 2025

• SkySportsTheLions (Satellite 412/878 - Sky Glass/Stream 410) rebrands to SkySp Action/SkySp ActionHD (reverting from a temporary change)
• ​Sky Antiheroes (Satellite 303 - Sky Glass/Stream 303) changes name to  Sky Hits HD (reverting from temporary change)
• ​Sky Schools Out (Satellite 306/850 - Sky Glass/Stream 306) renames to  Sky Adventure/ SkyAdventureHD (temporary change)
• ​Sky Jaws (Satellite 304/849 - Sky Glass/Stream 304) renames to Sky Greats / Sky Greats HD (reverting from a temporary change)
• NTD (Satellite 524) moves to EPG number 521

• That’s Summer (Satellite 359) rebrands to That’s Rock
• That’s Dance (Satellite 360) rebrands to That’s Oldies

• Sky Animation (Satellite 305 - Sky Glass/Stream 305) changes name to kungfupandaHD (temporary change)

Since the move of Sports channels on 28th July, Sky Sports The Lions/Action is on channels

412 (UK), 416/878 (Ireland) on satellite

410 on Sky Glass/Stream

It says that Sky Scifi (film channel on 311) is changing to "Star Trek" today.

But in fact it was the Entertainment channel with the similar name on 139 that did this.

Something is wrong here - which was supposed to change ? The film channel or the entertainment channel) ?

Yes the Sky Sci Fi  is labelled incorrectly on both Q and Stream.  On Stream there is a still a channel labelled BuddyFilmsHD which should have reverted to Sky Comedy HD back in July

Is this happening only on your devices? Do you ever unplug them or switch off the socket overnight? Sky devices need to stay plugged in continuously to receive updates properly. My Sky Q box has been updating normally on the dates listed.

Your box won't have received the correct update for Sky Star Trek (311) on 18 August because Sky didn't update 311.  It updated Sky Sci Fi in the entertainment section by mistake.

I can see that satellite was updated this morning so that the entertainment channel Sky Sci Fi is now labelled as that and the movie channel Sky Cinema Sci Fi/Horror is now labelled Sky Star Trek HD.

The error remains on Stream as does the BuddyFilmsHD/Sky Comedy error.

Additionally, these FAST channels are only available on Sky Glass and Sky Stream in the UK only and don't have rewind, pause or fast-forward functions. Also, they were added on 1 July: https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/What-s-On/Changes-to-the-TV-Guide-July-2025/m-p/5022359

For me, it's the lovey-dovey family Christmas movies that annoy me. They only show one version of Christmas with big families and lots of money. Also, Christmas is one day a year, not 4 months. All the greed and the want for expensive gifts that one may only use once or twice really, really "grinds my gears" (as Peter Griffin from Family Guy would say). Christmas should be focused on family, friends, community and being together, but it's not. At least not anymore. 

I love Christmas, but I despise the commercialism and the run up to Christmas with all the traffic, greediness, and soulless competition that shows that the more money one spends, the more they love a person. It's honestly a little sick and twisted. 

Anyway... Getting back to the launch of a Christmas channel, I don't think Christmas channels are needed anymore especially with on-demand, online streaming and dedicated FAST channels. Christmas content is available all year round now.

If sky launches Blab TV on Ent genre,  it's a much better fit for 177 or 179.
