CNN (ch 506) programme times offset

I seem to be experiencing an issue where the listing for CNN (channel 506) have the correct shows listed, but all at the wrong time. For example, a show that starts at midnight, is listed as starting six hours later at 6am. The show is actually aired at midnight. In order for me to record the correct shows, I need to select record on whatever show it thinks is airing at midnight. In short, I'm having to record by airtime and not by the listing. This also means that the series link doesn't work as it records when the guide thinks the show is on, which actually aired six hours prior and is now missed.

I have carried out a soft reset by unplugging my Sky Q box for at least 30 seconds. This did not resolve the issue.

Next, I carried out a reset of my settings. This did not resolve the issue.

Next I used the hidden menu and carried out a factory reset, wiping all settings & recordings. This did not resolve the issue either.

I'm not sure what to do now & would appreciate any assistance that anyone can advise?

I have moved your post into the thread already discussing CNN issues. Please see the post marked as the answer. Sky don't own or operate CNN.

Re: CNN listing on the TV guide

Thank you. It would appear to be an issue with CNN themselves. I'll just need to wait until they sort themselves out. Thank you for your response and for moving my question to the correct thread.

CNN content changed. Is this a change in the SKY agreement with CNN?

For years, my wife and I have enjoyed news coverage on America from the CNN channel via our SKY satellite. Particular favourite programmes include 'The Source' hosted by Kaitlin Collins and 'The Lead' hosted by Jake Tapper. The Sky programme guide continues to show these programmes at their historic daily times. However, the content which is broadcast is very different. What has happened and how can we get back to the programmes we actually want to watch?

It is a little confusing .. you have to record connect the world @ 9pm you will get Jake tapper ... 11pm one world you will get the brief with Jim sciutto ...12am Armanpour you will get Erin Burnett out front ..1.am ISA Soares you will get Anderson cooper 360 and the source with Kaillan Collins ... then quest means business is news night with Abby Phillips followed by Laura Coates live ...  hope this helps

CNN TV Listings Wrong For Several Days Now.

I always record Erin Burnett at 12am & Anderson Cooper at 1am, but they are now listed as 6am & 7am & recording other programmes.

I have had to record Amanpour & Isa Soares & sometimes other programmes at 12am & 1am which is still actually Erin Burnett & Anderson Cooper.

Whats gone wrong & why has it gone unnoticed for days?

Re: CNN listing on the TV guide

I honestly don't understand why it's taking CNN so long to sort out a simple EPG programing error! Come on CNN, you've been made aware of the problem so please get a move on. At the very least, CNN should provide Sky UK with an explanation as to what happened and why it's taking so long to rectify the problem.

CNN certainly won't see your comments on here.

Re: CNN listing on the TV guide

Hi Daniel0210. I understand this is likely to be the case. However, I would hope that someone at Sky UK would contact CNN International and pass on the sentiment expressed in my reply above. Regards, Tom

@Tom_1943 try complaining directly to CNN?

Re: CNN listing on the TV guide

Hmm. Sky UK are aware of the problem and had already contacted CNN International about the matter. As already stated in this thread, CNN are responsible for the content and accuracy of their EPG. However, their EPG runs on Sky's platform as part of the TV Guide and its continuing inaccuracy reflects unfavourably on Sky. Therefore  I would have thought it was in Sky's interest, on behalf of its clients, to continue pressing CNN for a timely resolution. I will say no more.
