landline calls suspended

HI

Does anyone have any idea why my sky talk account has been suspended? I cant make any calls on my landline, there  are no outstanding bills. I checked my account - there are no outstanding payments and I cant find why this has happened. (I even tried to go onto the payment link but that said that there was nothing to pay.)

Calls to Sky are answered with a message that they are having problems with a technical issue so not sure what is happening. Is anyone else having same problem or have any ideas as to what is going on? thanks

The help guide I linked to says:

"Our advisors will tell you how to restore your service, including paying for calls you've made up to the point you were restricted or for what's owed to us from previous bills. We might also request a Direct Debit or continuous credit card instruction if your bill payments aren’t up-to-date."

The bit I've added bold to might be what you need to do as your bills are up to date.

Suspended? Or a fault? Is there a dial tone? What happens when you try to make a call?

Re: landline calls suspended

Hi

I got a text from sky saying that due to high call spend on my line the line is restricted. I tried to make a call on the landline and was redirected to sky. (Where there is a voice message saying they are having technical difficulties) I have changed the call spend limit (which previously was off) but this has made no difference. Also the number and type of calls I am making has not changed and I cant get through to anyone to discuss what is going on.

Sky did have some difficulties with the contact centres earlier today, but I believe that has now been resolved, so you should be able to get through.

The help guide on call spend limits here might explain: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/managing-your-sky-talk-bills

Re: landline calls suspended

Hi

Thanks again for replying - I cant get through but did get recorded message saying payments were in arreas however my online account shows a 0 balance due - and a check of my bank accounts show payments have been made. Do you know any other way of contacting sky other than by phone as when I try calling I get the message saying that payment is due. So basically I am going around in ever increasingly frustrated circles! I cant get past the recorded message as they are saying I need to pay - and I cant pay anything as nothing is owing! ARGGHHHHH
