Voip phone

Good morning. We are going to use Sky broadband in our new house, we don't want a Talk package, do we still get a voip phone that we can use and pay for any calls? Thanks.

Sky don't provide landline handsets for either standard calls or Internet calls (Sky VOIP). 

Note that an IP phone won't work with Sky's Internet calls. A standard handset is required.

As @Daniel0210 indicates, there's an Analogue Telephone Adapter built into the Sky Broadband Hub and Max Hub: this (as the name suggests) is designed to convert a conventional handset or DECT base to VoIP signalling.

You can source your own VoIP hardware and related external (non-Sky) service account if you wish, and connect that by ethernet or WiFi.

Sky Talk is bundled together with Sky Broadband. The default tariff when joining is the Sky Pay As You Talk tariff.  You will be charged for all calls apart from freephone numbers with that tariff.
