Voice light off on router. No incoming and outgoing calls on landlines and the Internet speed is garbage. Phoned sky, getting a new router will thus fix the problem or is it a BT problem?

I assume Sky carried out their usual line checks when you called and it's the results which have led them to replace your router, rather than report it to Opemreach. I think you'll have to wait until the new router arrives to see if it fixes the problem.
