Virgin TO Sky, telephone not connected.
I have moved over from Virgin to Sky Nd the broadband side everything is working fine.
I am connected directly from the ONT to my Unifi UDM SE.
However, I am not sure how to connect the Sky Hub Max to allow telephone call. The WiFi on the device has been disabled and the WAN port is connected to my switch with UK telephone connected to my cordless phones.
That gives me "Check Phone Line" on handset.
With Virgin their Superhub would just go into modem mode. Can anyone advise what to do with the Hub Max or if its even possible to get phone line working in this way with my primary router being the Unifi Dream Machine SE.
Many thanks

Re: Virgin TO Sky, telephone not connected.
@balsanghera On the Sky Hub are you plugging your phone into the UK Phone port? It can take another 24 hours to become active after your Broadband going live.

Re: Virgin TO Sky, telephone not connected.
Correct. However, the Hub Max is not being used as the router.
If I connect the hub max directly to thr ONT phone line works.
My question is how do I continue to use thr phone line when I have another router in place of the hub max.
Not worried about double nat etc as I won't have any devices going through the hub max.

Re: Virgin TO Sky, telephone not connected.
@balsanghera As a first step, I'd suggest connecting your Sky Max Hub directly to the ONT, and then checking whether or not the phone works, just to rule out any issues with your current setup.

Re: Virgin TO Sky, telephone not connected.
Hi @Mark39 just tested a few mins ago and all works as expected through the sky hub max.
The issue arises when I am trying to connect to hub max to my existing wired network for just the telephone line.

I'm not sure that it's possible. I'll ask @TimmyBGood who knows vastly more on the subject than I do, if he can help?.

Re: Virgin TO Sky, telephone not connected.
So I think I have to use the sky hub max as primary router and then the udm se which will be double natted.
So if that's the case. Will probably leave the sky hub packed away and don't use the phone line or look at SIPP trunk.

I'd say that's correct: I'm not aware of a way Sky Talk Internet Calls can function without an appropriate Sky Hub being the primary router.
