VOIP & Broadband Upgrade

I'm due, at last, my Openreach connection on 30/9 as  part of my BB upgrade from Superfast to Ultrafast. I understand that my existing Sky Talk service via copper will no longer be available. Once my compatiable phone is plugged into my Sky broadband hub will VOIP become automatically available and will I use my existing phone number? If not do

i need a conversation with customer services before hand?

@Goldy1486  It should just happen automatically.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@Goldy1486You do understand that the phone you are using just now can be used when your services change after the upgrade.

If someone has helped give them Like.

@Goldy1486

However it's worth noting that while the underlying transport mechanism becomes VOIP because there's no longer any PSTN provision at the address, the service is still Sky Talk charged at the cost per minute designated by the bundle (Sky Pay As You Talk / Sky Talk Evenings & Weekends Extra / Anytime Extra / International Extra).  Anything you see on the Sky billing details describing Sky Talk Internet as 'free' is distinctly misleading.
