I just got broadband with Sky talk included. I need to find out. Is there a cost to use the Sky talk service

If you have taken out the pay as you talk tariff you only pay for the calls made

@Tina2608 you only pay for calls you make on your Sky Talk line. Therevis no rental cost for the line, thst is part of your broadband charge or to receive calls. But note that unless one of the inclusive Sky Talk add-ons is chosen by the customer, the default cost of outbound calls is unpleasantly expensive (even though the Talk service may be shown in Sky billing as 'free')

so basically if you don't have a package you pay for usage so it's quite hefty

It boils down to how much you'll use your landline for outgoing calls, what type of number you're likely to dial and at what time of day.
