Sky talk landline not connected

Sky broadband installed (cityfibre) 150 mbps last Thursday. Landline has still not been connected a week later. When I call customer services they can't tell me why, or give me a date for connection, I just have to wait. Can any one help as I'm about to go on holiday and want it fixed first.

I assume your phone is plugged into your Sky Hub. If you haven't already, you could try turning off both your Hub and the ONT for an hour to see if it prompts a connection. Otherwise, I'm afraid it's a matter of waiting for Sky and CityFibre to get you connected.

Thanks for replying Mark. I have already tried what you suggest. Hub connections in place.

 

Do you know if it common to have to wait this long ? Do you have any idea how long it may take, what others have experienced ?

I don't think it's common, but we've certainly seen it reported here before. Regarding how long it takes to put right, previous reports are very variable, mostly within around a couple of weeks. I think.
