Sky broadband

Just had Sky broadband installed. Phone plugged in to back of router.  That phone is working fine. However, the phones upstairs are both dead with no ringtone. I now have no phone connection in bedroom.  Is this normal or can this issue be resolved. Thanks

@Leggerl  As the phone line is now embeded with the router your extensions just won't work.

Your option is to use Cordless dect phones, with a main base station downstairs and additional phones in the other parts of the home.

Absolutely: if you are on FTTP then the master phone socket on the wall is no longer in use and there's simply no physical connection between the wiring to any extension sockets and the Sky Hub where the VOIP telephony service is landing.  For FTTC with VOIP calls there isn't any redirection of signal onto the extension wiring: it only emerges at the port on the Sky Hub.

As @GD1 indicates, the most practical solution is to invest in DECT phones: unfortunately unlike BT, Sky don't have their own handset options.
