Landline not working, broadband is fine

Hello, I'm new to this so please be patient. My landline has stopped working but broadband is fine. The phone will ring but when picked up it beeps & crackles; the same when we try & make a call. We tried plugging in our old phone( doesn't need to be connected to a power source) & we get nothing at all! Because we have very poor mobile signal within our home we rely on the landline. We have tried all the sky tips with no success. Help required please.

@Poppa+TrottHave you just moved to Sky and this has happened or did it happen out of the blue?

This has happened out of the blue, however we did upgrade our sky package 18 days ago, at that time & until about 5 days ago all was well

Update - We spoke to Poppa+Trott, we booked an Openreach engineer as an external fault was identified in our troubleshooting. 🙂
